Design Work

designI’ve been craving a blog redesign as of late (heck, I’ve had this one almost a year now!), but I didn’t know how to make it just so.  And I want something that will make me love my blog name again!  Of course words like classic, vintage, clean, pretty come to mind when I try to describe my ideal look.  But those can get vague quickly.

How have you determined the right aesthetic for your blog/website/business?  Yesterday I was playing around with drawing logos.  Still figuring out the rest.  Happy Friday!

  1. lol…I think as a blogger, that feeling of ‘must redesign this right now’ just never goes away. this is definitely the longest I’ve gone without making any major design changes on my site (except obsessively rearranging my side bar of course!). it’s always good to spruce things up when you feel like it’s needed – sounds like it’s driving your inspiration! xo

    1. I definitely see the relation of happiness to my surroundings with happiness with my blog. Since I’ve decided to do nothing else home-style-wise while we live in a rental, I’m chomping at the bit to make my blog site just lovely. I almost think its too white now? Gah, decisions, decisions 😉

  2. I love the simplicity of your design! I’m so bad at anything techie that I have been wanting to change mind for a while now but it just seems daunting. As soon as I have a little free time I will work on it. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

    1. Aww thanks! I definitely want to clutter it up a bit, which is probably going against the fifty rules of blog design or something, but oh well! I have had some moments where I’ve wanted to throw in the towel…but I also am determined to make it my happy place. Gah, the give and take!!
